The air you breathe,
before it reaches you.

Air conditioning systems concentrate warm, damp, dark conditions — ideal for Legionella, mould, and bacterial biofilm. UV-C treatment of accessible components reduces the load before it circulates through offices, clinics, homes, and rental properties.

Context

The unseen part of indoor air quality

Indoor air quality gets talked about like it's about ventilation. Ventilation matters, but so does what's between the outside air and the room. HVAC coils, drip trays, ducting, filter housings, and evaporative pads accumulate a microbial layer over time. That layer becomes airborne every time the system runs. UV-C treatment of the accessible components — coils, drip trays, plenum interiors during service — reduces the microbial load and extends the intervals between deep-service chemical treatments.

What We Treat

The problem, specifically.

01

Legionella pneumophila

Warm damp evaporative components are prime Legionella habitat; particularly relevant for commercial cooling towers and evaporative coolers.

02

Mould and fungal growth

Wet coil surfaces and damp filter housings support persistent mould that disperses on system startup.

03

Biofilm

Bacterial biofilm on internal surfaces slowly releases pathogens and volatile compounds into circulating air.

04

Reduced efficiency

Contaminated coils reduce heat transfer efficiency; a clean coil is a more efficient coil.

Applications

How the service is delivered.

Between HVAC deep-services

Slot UV-C between annual chemical clean-downs — extends the effective interval and reduces mid-cycle microbial load.

Split system routine

Coordinated with your HVAC technician, our unit treats accessible internal components during their service visit.

Ducted system access points

Where duct access panels allow, we treat plenum interiors and accessible ducting.

Post-flood or water-damage HVAC

After water intrusion affects HVAC components — treatment before re-commissioning.

Positioning

Alongside your HVAC service, not instead of it.

UV-C is a disinfection supplement, not a replacement for scheduled HVAC servicing. We work alongside your existing HVAC service company — they handle the mechanical inspection, filter replacement, chemical coil clean, and refrigerant work; we handle the disinfection layer. For commercial cooling towers and Legionella-relevant systems, our work supports compliance with AS/NZS 3666 (air handling and water systems in buildings) and the Queensland Public Health Regulation 2018.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

Do you service HVAC systems yourselves?

No — we're a disinfection specialist, not an HVAC service company. We coordinate with your existing HVAC technician and provide the UV-C treatment layer during their access.

Can UV-C damage HVAC components?

At our treatment exposures, no. Extended continuous exposure over years can degrade some plastic components; brief periodic treatment during service intervals does not.

Is this relevant for residential split systems?

Yes — particularly for households with allergy, asthma, or immune-compromised occupants. Treatment during your annual service visit costs little and delivers a meaningful indoor-air-quality upgrade.

What about in-duct UV lamps I've seen advertised?

Different product category — those are permanently installed lamps in the ducting. We provide periodic professional treatment of accessible components. Both approaches have their place; ours is service-based, theirs is installed hardware.
