Food-safe hygiene,
zero chemical residue.

Food businesses operate under strict hygiene scrutiny — and standard sanitisers can't be used near food prep surfaces without exhaustive rinse cycles. UV-C disinfects with light, leaving nothing on the surfaces that touch your guests' food.

Industry Context

The hygiene food regulators reward

Council health inspectors increasingly recognise UV-C as a legitimate supplementary disinfection method, particularly for surfaces where chemical residue is a regulatory concern. UV Sterile treats kitchens, prep benches, cool rooms, and dining areas without leaving residue, scent, or surfactant — and provides treatment logs you can produce at inspection.

Pathogens of Concern

What we're treating, specifically.

01

Salmonella & E. coli

Persistent surface contamination from raw protein handling.

02

Listeria

Particularly dangerous in cold rooms and ready-to-eat preparation areas.

03

Norovirus

Top cause of restaurant-linked outbreaks; spreads through staff and shared surfaces.

04

Mould and biofilm

Drink fountains, ice machines, and damp prep areas accumulate biofilm fast.

Use Cases

How UV Sterile fits your operation.

Close-of-trade kitchen treatment

After the last cover, before the morning prep — treat the full kitchen including prep benches, cool room interiors, and storage.

Front-of-house overnight

Treat dining rooms, banquettes, menu covers, salt and pepper sets, high chairs, and bathrooms after close.

Cool room and dry store

Periodic deep treatment of storage areas that rarely see disinfection.

Post-incident response

After a confirmed food-safety incident or notifiable illness — full facility treatment with documentation.

Compliance

Food safety supplementation.

Treatment supports your food safety program under FSANZ Food Safety Standards 3.2.2 and 3.2.3. We provide treatment logs detailing every zone treated, dwell time, and operator on site — useful evidence at council inspections and during HACCP audit reviews.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

Can you treat while food is stored?

We prefer cool rooms emptied or food covered for direct-surface treatments. For ambient air treatment of dry stores, food can remain in place.

Will UV-C affect packaging or sealed food?

Sealed packaging is not affected at our treatment exposures. Direct food surface exposure is not recommended — we treat the environment, not the food.

How fast can you turn around a kitchen after close?

Typical commercial kitchen: 25–40 minutes for full treatment. Compatible with most close-to-prep timeframes.

Do you provide after-incident emergency response?

Yes. Call 0417 631 743 for same-day or after-hours response to food safety incidents.

Ready to start? Or just have a question?

Call us, email us, or book online. We respond within one business day, faster for outbreak callouts.
