Cross-species,
cross-contamination.

Vet clinics see parvo dogs, FIV cats, and the family in for a checkup — all through the same waiting room. UV-C disinfects between patients without chemical fragrances that stress animals or interfere with examination.

Industry Context

The disinfection animals can tolerate

Standard veterinary cleaning relies on chlorhexidine, F10, and quaternary ammonium — all effective, all leaving scent residues that affect animal behaviour and stress patients on subsequent visits. UV-C does the disinfection work without the scent, the surfactant, or the wipe-down time.

Pathogens of Concern

What we're treating, specifically.

01

Parvovirus

Extremely resistant to many surface disinfectants; persists for months on surfaces.

02

Kennel cough & FIV/FeLV

Cross-patient transmission risk in waiting and exam rooms.

03

Ringworm & dermatophytes

Fungal contamination of consult tables and grooming surfaces.

04

Zoonotic pathogens

Leptospirosis, salmonella, and others transmissible to staff.

Use Cases

How UV Sterile fits your operation.

Between-patient consult rooms

Treatment chair, examination table, scales — disinfected in under 5 minutes before the next patient.

Surgical suite turnaround

Post-procedure deep disinfection between surgeries without lengthy chemical dwell times.

Boarding kennel reset

Between guests, after long stays, or following an outbreak — full kennel disinfection.

Isolation room recovery

After confirmed-infectious patients (parvo, FIV) the room can return to general use sooner.

Compliance

Veterinary biosecurity.

Supports your biosecurity protocols under the Australian Veterinary Association practice standards. Particularly relevant for hospitals with surgical caseloads, boarding facilities advertising hygiene standards, and mixed-practice clinics where parvo and other resistant pathogens are recurring concerns.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

Can animals be present during treatment?

No — same rule as for humans. The treatment room is cleared, treatment is brief, and animals can return immediately after.

Does UV-C eliminate parvovirus on surfaces?

UV-C significantly reduces parvovirus viability at clinical exposure times. Combined with mechanical removal of organic matter, it's an effective tool against this notoriously resistant pathogen.

Can you treat outdoor runs and exercise yards?

Outdoor areas get natural UV exposure, but we can supplement with targeted treatment of high-contact surfaces like gate latches and water bowls.

Do you offer service contracts for multi-vet practices?

Yes — preferred rates for groups and animal hospital chains. Contact for tailored quote.
